Counselling and Treatment - Substance Use

Program Description

Utilizes a youth-centred approach and individualized treatment planning to manage substance use, as well as after-care planning to support recovery. Together, the Addictions Counsellor from Canadian Mental Health Association - Hastings Prince Edward (CMHA HPE) and the Mental Health Addictions Therapist from Youth Habilitation assess and address each client’s needs and use their roles and expertise to provide services to clients experiencing substance use issues.

Services include:
- a youth-centred approach responsive to clinical needs
- ongoing screening and assessment
- supportive addictions counselling
- individualized treatment planning
- options to manage substance use
- linkages to info, support and treatment
- connection to other community services
- after care planning to support recovery

Referrals can be made through AccessMHA.
Individuals who have received services at Youthab in the past 18 months can self-refer by contacting the organization directly.
No cost to participate in this program.
