Counselling and Treatment - Mental Health
The Counselling and Therapy program provides client-centered, goal-focused counselling services to children, youth and families experiencing and range of emotional, relational and mental health challenges such as feelings of anxiety or depression, stress, trauma, isolation, parenting, etc., that impacts functioning in the home, school and/or or community. Using evidence-informed and culturally responsive approaches, our program is tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Our staff have specialized and cultural expertise in serving diverse communities, including 2SLGBTTQ+ folks, newcomers, immigrants/refugees and Indigenous communities. Our experienced Counsellors use a range of evidence-informed approaches and provide counselling services in various languages to build coping skills, enhance resilience and achieve meaningful outcomes.
