Short-Term Crisis Support Beds

Program Description

A voluntary, non-medical bed-based program offering a therapeutic environment for individuals working through a mental health crisis.
Counselling, life skills training and peer support is provided.
Residents must agree to participate in all programming.

Access Information

Referrals are accepted from hospital, Red Lake Family Health Team, OPP and Red Lake Community Counselling & Addiction Services.

Inclusion Criteria:
Individuals age 16-65, who are medically stable and experiencing a mental health crisis.


Exclusion Criteria:
- Individuals must not be actively using substances/alcohol use.
- Violent offenders
- Individuals with a a history of pyromania
- Individuals experiencing psychosis
- Individuals with dementia, acquired brain injury, developmental delay
