Hepatitis C & Substance Use Health Outreach Team

Type Of Service

Harm Reduction

Program Description

The Outreach Team provides one-time use supplies for safer substance use to individuals across Lambton County. This includes safer injection, inhalation, snorting and sex supplies. We also provide naloxone opioid overdose reversal kits and training, sharps collection, and connections to community services. Our program uses a client-centered, evidence-based harm reduction approach that supports people to reduce substance use–related harms in ways that align with their own goals, while providing respectful, non-judgmental care. This service is anonymous. Substance use health services are fully integrated within the outreach team alongside hepatitis C care, allowing clients to access coordinated support across both areas through a single team.

Access Information

Services can be accessed without a referral. The Outreach Team can be found through mobile outreach across Lambton County with weekly schedules posted to Facebook & Instagram (@OutreachNLCHC). We also welcome call or text requests for service or more information.
