Peer/Self-Help - Mental Health
The Mental Health Peer Support Project (MHSP) provides a safe and welcoming environment for people living with mental health challenges. The Ontario Roadmap to Wellness: Mental Health and Addictions Framework recognizes peer support as an important core service for people with low to complex mental health needs. MHSP peer support staff have lived experience with mental health challenges and have received training in peer support to offer emotional and practical support based on trust, dignity, hope, authenticity, and compassion.
Our peer support programs with MHSP are person-centered and support individuals to work toward personal goals related to their mental health and wellbeing. Peer support is available through drop-ins, topic specific support groups and individual appointments.
Referrals accepted from all sources, including self. Call or email to access services.
