Crisis Intervention

Program Description

Provides bilingual crisis support, short-term counselling, information, harm reduction support and services, and referral services and advocacy for individuals and families. Harm reduction services provided. Peer harm reduction workers are available to meet with individuals on a one-on-one basis to provide harm reduction information and education, supplies and distribution of naloxone.

Access Information

Referrals from all sources. Call the Crisis Intake Counsellor to book an appointment. Walk-in available during the afternoon. There is no wait list for crisis intervention.

Priority is given to individuals from the catchment area of the Carlington Community and Health Centre. Individuals who live in another catchment area will be served as needed and referred to a community health centre or community service in their neighbourhood.
