Inpatient
The Integrated Mood, Anxiety and Addictions Concurrent (IMAAC) program, offers comprehensive medical and clinical care for adults who are experiencing mood and/or anxiety disorders with or without problematic substance use (alcohol, drugs, prescription medications, including opioids).
The highly structured program consists of several phases of treatment, focusing first on withdrawal (if needed), stabilization and foundation setting, learning and practising skills, substance use education (as required), medication optimization (if applicable), peer support and discharge planning.
Self-initiated referrals are accepted.
A healthcare provider may be consulted during the intake process.
Admission Criteria: Medically stable adults whose level of functioning in their social, occupational, and familial lives is severely impaired by symptoms of mood and/or anxiety disorders; individuals who are ready to engage in treatment in a group based program as well as in community milieu as a means of supporting change.
Exclusion Criteria: individuals experiencing significant psychiatric illness (i.e., psychosis, dementia or head injury) if it prohibits them from learning new skills in a group setting.
