Program Description

The Bayview Program for Dual Diagnosis is a specialty care inpatient program.

We provide psychiatric assessment and treatment to persons with a developmental disability and a mental health need. We offer a continuum of inter professional services, including: consultation; inpatient assessment; treatment/stabilization; transition; and discharge. To meet the complex needs of persons with a dual diagnosis we encourage and consider the involvement and cooperation of family, caregivers and physicians as essential in providing a supportive network for our patients.

Referrals for Regional programs at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care are received by the Central Intake Office and reviewed by a team of clinicians.

Referrals accepted from primary care health providers.
