Diversion and Court Support - Mental Health

Program Description

Provides culturally competent services for individuals of ethno-racial background who face mental health challenges and have been involved in the criminal justice system. The goal is to help individuals reduce or eliminate future recidivism and to improve their quality of life. Service includes psychiatric assessment and follow up, psycho-social and mental health education, consultation, direct brief service, court diversion, and case management support.

Access Information

Referrals are made primarily through the Mental Health Court. Other access points include: defense counsel, legal clinics, other mental health service providers, probation and parole officers, police officers, family and eligible individuals.

Inclusion Criteria:
- 18-65 years of age
- reside in Toronto area of North to Highway 401, East to Warden, South to the Lake, West to Islington
