A school-based program for youth who are not able to attend school in a traditional setting due to mental health concerns. This program offers academics and counselling during the day, Monday - Friday.

Provides screening of clients who meet the criteria for Community Treatment Orders (CTO's) and develops/supports community-based treatment plans, client supervision and referrals to community resources. Education about this treatment option to clients, families, and community and health providers is also emphasized.

Provides assessment, short term therapy, family intervention, group therapy, parental groups, linkages with and education to schools, community education/programs. The interdisciplinary team includes a psychiatrist, social workers, nurse practitioners and an intake clinician.

Provides assessment, short term therapy, group therapy and related education for adults and their families coping and recovering from mental illness. This includes a medication clinic for clients with severe chronic mental illness. Psychiatrists and nurse practitioners, as part of the interdisciplinary team, provide diagnosis and treatment as appropriate.

Provides crisis consultation and support to the Emergency Department and other clinical patient care units within Markham Stouffville Hospital. Appointments with a social worker in the Urgent Care Clinic are facilitated through Crisis Services.

Acute care for patients requiring admission, either on a voluntary or involuntary basis. The inpatient care unit consists of 35 beds, including 3 intensive, and 5 step-down.

Day Treatment Program provides intensive mental health treatment through group programming and individual sessions with a care coordinator. Clients learn about their illness and coping strategies while participating in the treatment modalities. Services are provided through an interdisciplinary team, including social workers, addictions workers, occupational therapists, and input from inpatient social work, pharmacist and dietician, etc. as needed.
