Our treatment services are provided in the context of a day treatment centre. We offer services to women-identified and gender diverse folks in French and English for problem substance use and gambling. There are three main components of service as part of the Substance Use Program: individual counselling, group counselling, and psychoeducational workshops related to topics in recovery. There are two phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2. We offer a weekly Phase 1 support group and various workshops that those who wish can attend or they can wait for the services that we offer as part of Phase 2. While Phase 1 is mostly group-based work, Phase 2 consists of many components. After an initial assessment, clients continue to meet with their therapists on an individual basis. As well they can attend therapy groups which are offered three times a week. As a client-centred organization, clients have a choice in deciding their treatment goals and which components of service are going to be most beneficial to them. For example, clients may want to access individual support but not want to attend groups or they may want to access Phase 1 programming but never move into Phase 2. Clients struggling exclusively with gambling will, for the most part, take part in individual counselling and some of the workshops as appropriate.
