Focus: Mental Health
A six-month treatment agreement which facilitates an intensive community-based care plan for individuals with a serious mental illness. The focus of the agreement is to provide support, case management, maintain wellness, and reduce hospitalization. The treatment agreement is voluntary and treatment orders can be renewed after the six-month period.
Admission Criteria:
The patient must have had at least two admissions in the last three years. Or an admission of 30 days or more in the past three years.

This outpatient program is designed to provide assessment and treatment planning for individuals living with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. The Schizophrenia Program includes individual, group and family education, as well as medicine administration and monitoring.
Admission Criteria:
- Clients 18 years or older with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
- Clients referred with other psychotic disorders will be considered case by case.

Outpatient program for individuals diagnosed with eating disorders, who can be managed on an outpatient basis.
Services offered include:
- individual therapy
- family therapy
- nutritional counselling
- psycho-education classes for families
- parent support group and/or therapeutic groups for adolescents

Day treatment program is available to clients with eating disorders who need more intensive treatment. Clients participate in a half day of schooling in the morning (our teacher is provided by the York Region Board of Education) and a half day of therapy in the afternoon, which may include group therapy, individual or family therapy. Families are required to actively participate in weekly family meetings, as well as weekly family education nights.

A day hospital program serving youth from 13 to 18 years of age who live in York Region. The program provides services for clients with severe psychiatric disorders which are hindering their ability to function in certain areas of their life.
The program offers an 8-space specialized Care and Treatment classroom and intensive psychotherapy services provided by an interprofessional team of psychiatrists, child and youth counsellors, social worker, transition workers, and a special education teacher from the York Region District School Board. Treatments are integrated throughout the school day and are drawn from both group and family therapy models. Program length is one semester.

The clinic offers psychiatric consultation and limited short term follow up with a Psychiatrist and RAPT Nurse to provide assessment and treatment recommendations to patients who are not currently patients of a psychiatrist. The focus of the clinic is on medications management and short term collaborative care.

Inpatient unit consisting of 41 beds. Provides short-term assessment, stabilization, and symptom reduction to individuals with mental health issues. Individual, group and family education is also provided.

This program provides 22 hour coverage to the Emergency Department and provides assessment, short-term crisis, counselling and referrals to community organizations. In addition, this service includes assessment and consultation to inpatient units and family physicians.

Inpatient unit currently consists of 7 beds and provides short-term assessment, stabilization, and symptom reduction to individuals with mental health issues. Individual, group and family education is also provided. Model of service is interprofessional, including psychiatric, social work, nursing and child and youth work.
