Mental health service for older adults (60 years and older) with concerns about memory loss, mood, anxiety, stress, loss, or a previously diagnosed mental health disorder. This service cannot provide urgent medical care or crisis services. Service includes: - in-home mental health assessment(s) with individualized recommendations for clients who meet triage criteria - support in-person, by phone or online regarding resource navigation and caregiver consultation - cognitive testing - indirect psychiatric consultation model (assessment by mental health clinician, which is reviewed with geriatric psychiatrist consultant); note: client is not seen directly by psychiatrist - development of a care plan - recommendations and information about management and coping with mental health and/or cognitive changes - referrals or linkages to other community services or mental health programs This service is also helpful for care partners experiencing stress who would like information about local home and community services or guidance on the process of applying for long-term care.

Clinic operates Monday to Friday, with psychiatrists available for assessments. The clinicians who work in UCC also work in Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and participate in the initial assessment with the psychiatrist and can offer short term follow up.

Provides low barrier access for patients seeking treatment for any substance use disorder. Provides brief counselling, prescribe medications (including anti-craving medications for alcohol and buprenorphine/naloxone for opiate use disorder) and connect patients with community treatment programs.

Provides language and culturally specific assessment, consultation and treatment to Mandarin and Cantonese speaking people with mental illness. Offers short term psychotherapy, psychosocial skill building (individual and group), and psycho-educational (individual and group). People accessing this service must be Mandarin or Cantonese speaking and non-English speaking. The two languages served are Mandarin and Cantonese.

This program provides psychiatric assessment, consultation and follow-up. Treatment is also offered to clients who are concerned about their substance use, with or without concurrent mental health problems/concerns and problem gambling issues within the Toronto west catchment. Provides brief psychotherapy and language-specific psychosocial rehabilitation and treatment for chronic mental disorders. Primarily offers group-based, time-limited psychotherapy.

Provides assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to Portuguese-speaking people who experience mental health and/or substance use issues.

A 24-hour service physically located in the Emergency Department. The team provides rapid triage, assessment, management and disposition for the adult mental health patient who required these services while in the Emergency Department. Designed to provide a safe, secure, and integrated environment where these assessments can take place.

Provides service to individuals with a history of high-level service needs caused by serious and persistent mental illness. Most of the clients have a primary diagnosis of a psychotic illness. Provides long-term, community-based, and holistic care to clients with a focus on improving quality of life and facilitating community reintegration. The team also provides support and education to families.

Inpatient unit for patients who require hospitalization for their eating disorder. Short-term hospitalization is provided for patients who require medical stabilization or interruption of eating disorder symptoms. Longer stays of up to six weeks are provided for patients with moderate to severe anorexia nervosa to initiate weight restoration and the establishment of a regular eating pattern. Treatment is voluntary and focused on behavior change and health improvement.

National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC) provides information, resources, referrals and support to Canadians affected by eating disorders. The Centre: - Staffs a helpline and provides a live chat platform to provide information on eating disorder treatment, resources and support - Develops and disseminates information and resources on eating disorders and food and weight preoccupation - Assists communities by helping organizations develop information materials, by providing support and advice, by connecting organizations and individuals working in the area of food and weight preoccupation, and by sharing information and resources - Runs workshops and presentations for schools, community groups and professional bodies on the prevention of disordered eating, promotion of positive body image, and healthy lifestyles - Provides displays on eating disorders at local community events - Runs prevention and awareness campaigns

Provides intensive outpatient treatment for approximately three hours per day, Monday to Friday. The program is based on cognitive behavioural therapy and includes nutrition counselling and other services, as needed. The program is offered virtually for a maximum of 12 weeks.

The individual therapy program offers individual cognitive behavioural therapy for eating disorders. It is offered virtually or in person and is approximately 12 weeks in length. Sessions are typically twice per week , Monday to Friday.
