As an extension of Specialized Geriatric Services in the community, the Intensive Geriatric Service Worker program provides follow-up and intensive service coordination for older adults with complex geriatric issues.
This program works with the broader healthcare system and community to support older adults who may be isolated and have limited resources. Team members work closely with the older adults’ network to promote independence and self-directed care through the coordination of appropriate services and supports.

Here 24/7 is the front door to the addictions, mental health and crisis services across Waterloo-Wellington.
The serv ice attends to the immediate needs of the person and will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the individual. Short-term needs will be explored, as well as long-term service options. The person's needs will be matched with the service options available within the addictions and mental health service continuum, and a referral will be provided to services and supports in the community.
Appointments can be scheduled directly (or individuals placed on a waitlist) with partner agencies for most services so that the person does not need to call other providers and re-tell their story.

The Regional Eating Disorders Program provides specialist outpatient eating disorders assessment and treatment to individuals and families.
All participants of the eating disorder program need to be medically monitored either by their general practitioner or a nurse practitioner.
Adults are offered treatment through a CBT-e (enhanced cognitive behaviour therapy) program.
For individuals under the age of 17, an individualized treatment plan is devised involving CBT-e and family-based treatment.

The 1st Step Program aims to lessen the disruption due to psychosis in the lives of the individual and his/her family as well as reduce the incidence of further psychotic episodes, medical problems, social issues and relapse.
The program offers on-site, community-based services, comprehensive assessment and treatment for the individual, in both individual and group treatment modalities.
Extensive family education and support services are also offered.
Program criteria is:
- experienced recent symptoms of a first episode of psychosis or have not received previous treatment for recent psychosis
- early psychosis is the primary issue or concern
- limited contact with the social service system
- limited experience with prescribed medications

Skills for Safer Living program is a combination of a twenty-week skills-based group and a peer support group for individuals with recurring thoughts and behaviours about suicide.
The Skills for Safer Living program is provided by a team of peer supporters who have extensive practice and lived experience knowledge around understanding and preventing suicide. The Skills for Safer Living Group provides group participants the opportunity to develop specific strategies and skills to identify, interrupt, and change their behaviour about suicide.
Program participants must have a minimum of one self-reported suicide attempt or experience ongoing struggles with suicide related thoughts and behaviors.
At the conclusion of the group, participants will be invited to attend a peer support group that provides participants the opportunity to practice and refresh the skills they have learned.

The CMHA Waterloo Wellington Mental Health & Justice Team (MHJ) provides recovery oriented, community-based support to people who are involved in the criminal justice system and live with mental health/substance use health issues/concurrent issues. This team will support people in the Criminal Justice System by ensuring support is well matched to their needs, goals and stage of recovery.
Services are offered to all of Wellington County. The team is made up of 3 support coordinators, clinician/counselor, Indigenous support worker, and intake coordinator.

Flexible Assertive Community Treatment Team provides support services to individuals dealing with mental health issues and their family members.
Short and long-term support is available, assisting people with personal planning, crisis planning, referral and connection to other community resources, assistance with education and employment goals, access to information and education etc.

Group and individual peer support services for adults living with mental health and/or substance use issues.
Services are offered by trained and certified peer support workers. No intake and no waitlist to join drop-in group services. Short-term individual peer support is available to people who attend our groups. Variety of drop-in and registered group programs focused on wellbeing, recovery, and connection through shared lived experience. Program also offers entrepreneurship support and healing through the expressive arts programs.
