This service is available to seniors with mental health concerns and complex care needs who reside alone or with family and are experiencing difficulty coping in their environment. Service to Seniors under 65 will be considered on a case to case basis.

Provides assistance to help transition seniors with complex mental health needs from one environment to another supported environment including Long Term Care Home. Social work services are also available to families who have a senior with a mental illness living with them, and who are experiencing difficulties.

Together with the case manager, the client develops and implements a rehabilitation plan consisting of learning new skills, development supports to achieve their goal of independent living.

Provides opportunity for anyone with a mental illness to receive some immediate help & assistance, on a short term basis. The program provides mainly information and referral.

Employment opportunities exist for individuals with a mental illness to be hired on staff as recreation workers. These positions are within our clubhouse program and preference in hiring is given to existing club members.

The Social Club is a place to meet friends and socialize on a drop-in basis, or participate in more organized activities. Anyone with a mental illness can become a member. Dinner is offered once a week for a small price ($3) and lunch is offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Mental status and risk assessments are conducted on contact with individual to determine need for hospitalization. Whenever possible the crisis worker will divert the individual from hospital care to community services or provide brief counselling (one to six sessions) to resolve the immediate crisis situation.
